There are two major groups of glow lovers. The first group loves a subtle highlight, adding just a bit life to their cheekbones. People, who like looking classy and elegant.
And then there is us- mothers of sparkle, whose brushes are swimming in a highlighter pod. Queens of glitter, who never blind others enough.
I once (?) went a bit over the limit and applied my beloved Mary Lou too heavily. I didn't like what I saw in the mirror. And this is when I thought about buying a less insane highlighter. A breakthrough moment in my makeup life. I have heard good reviews about Makeup Revolution highlighters, and I thought that I would give them a go.
As first I picked up the Vivid Baked Highlighter in Moon Glow Lights. OMG. Why did I order it so late? Where have I been? This highlighter looks like a heaven on the cheeks. It is so subtle, so elegant, romantic and girly. it gives me the desired glow from within.
It is a genius product for its price (£3). It is quite powdery, you will get a lot of kick up with it. I wouldn't worry about going through the product too quickly, though.
This product is also versatile- you can use it as a highlighter, light blush or blush topper. It has a light, neutral pink colour, which will suit both cool-toned and warm-toned fans of glow. The consistency kind of transforms on the cheeks and doesn't look powdery anymore. The Moon Glow Lights is also perfect for those of you, who want to begin the highlighting adventure.
The only con of this products is its packaging. Mine has already broke, and I can not close it. It is also quite bulky and not easy to store. The letters rubbed off too. But hey, this is a massive highlighter and it retails for £3. I really can not expect more than I got.
So, when I was shopping for The Moon Glow Lights, I added one more highlighter to my basket. It was the beautiful 'Breathe' from the Radiant Lights range. At first, I wasn't 100% sold on this because I wasn't sure if this light peach shade will suit me. But when I swatched it and saw how subtle it is, I immediately thought about applying it all over my face. I use a large, not dense brush to apply it on the top of my setting powder. I do it always when I want to achieve a glowy, healthy looking skin and add an extra dimension to my face. It looks beautiful as a standard highlight on the top of the cheekbones. It would work wonders for those of you with pale, warm toned skin. It is very elegant and glitter-free. It is easy to work with and long lasting (min 7h of wear).
I really like the packaging of this highlighter. It is easy to store and to travel with. It is very sturdy and has a lovely mirror inside. Overall, I think this is a fantastic product!
